ULMA Architectural Solutions’ Civil-F polymer-concrete drainage channels were used in a construction project at the NBS Air Base in Ogre Municipality. The system formed part of the site’s surface water drainage infrastructure, supporting the controlled collection and discharge of rainwater from paved, service and operational areas.
The project used Civil-F F100 and Civil-F F250 channels, allowing the drainage design to respond to different hydraulic and load-bearing requirements across the site. The F100 channel, with a 100 mm internal width, was suitable for areas requiring a more compact drainage solution, while the F250, with a 250 mm internal width, was applied where greater water collection capacity was needed.
As part of ULMA’s Civil-F range, the channels are designed for demanding environments where reliable drainage, durability and secure grating fixation are important. Their polymer-concrete construction provides strength, dimensional stability and resistance to water-related wear, while the linear channel format supports efficient stormwater flow along paved surfaces.
The use of F100 and F250 channels helped organize surface water management across different parts of the air base infrastructure. By combining smaller and larger channel sizes, the project could address both standard drainage zones and areas requiring higher hydraulic performance.
Overall, the Civil-F drainage solution contributed to the construction of durable and functional infrastructure at the NBS Air Base in Ogre Municipality.
