In this type of environment, effective drainage is important for maintaining safe movement, protecting paved surfaces and supporting the long-term performance of the built infrastructure.

The Hydro+ system was applied where enhanced surface water management was required. It supports the collection and regulation of rainwater, helping to reduce uncontrolled runoff and limit the risk of water accumulation during periods of heavy rainfall. This is particularly important in dense urban areas, where drainage infrastructure must be integrated with roads, platforms, pedestrian zones and technical networks.

The use of Hydro+ helped the project respond to both functional and environmental requirements. By supporting controlled stormwater flow, the system contributes to durability, operational reliability and easier maintenance of the surrounding infrastructure.

Overall, the application of ULMA’s Hydro+ solution formed part of the technical execution of the Rail Baltica Central Station project in Riga, supporting effective rainwater management at one of Latvia’s most significant transport infrastructure developments.

ULMA Architectural Solutions’ Hydro+ system was used in the Rail Baltica Central Station project in Riga.
